New Palestra version and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

A new version is available for download on the Palestra page!

Changelogs:

- Added Natsu to the brothel

- Added a new scene for Natsu

- Added Natsu's contest moves

- Finished Natsu's story

- Added Natsu's semen and milking

- Added 3 new underwears for Natsu

Palestra:

New update is now available and I started the poll for the next update!

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

We're making progress on the first part of the update and getting closer to completion! The minigame now actually works so we need to adapt it for characters!

 


 Also, we started implementing the characters card on top of the rework to the ero shop to include the minigame cards int it! As you can see from the card's thumbnail this is where the refresh animations have been repurposed. During the minigame, the character cards animations will be shortened (save for the finishers) to flow better with the minigame, but you can watch them in their entirety in the Ero Shop.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

Clef's animation is coming along nicely! After playing around a bit with it I managed to make the physics work and I'm slowly getting the hang of it! While I surely won't be able to master that in one animation, I think the result is already looking better!

Dreadlord Ascension:

For Dreadlord Ascension, we're still working on the minigame and will keep working on that for a few weeks! I have the base animation down for the minigame, now comes the work of adding in allll the characters x).

For this new minigame's purpose, the ero shop in the pleasure room is being revamped. You can now purchase cards for the minigame from the imp there. The imp will also have another use to unlock the animations previously obtainable by seeing them using Cervius's "Refresh" skill. You will be able to simply "buy" them when certain conditions are met and in turn, this will unlock new cards for the game .




For the next update, Coco has also been working on changing the placeholder AI faces in the dialogues now that those characters are locked in.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

I've been working on the next update which will include a new animation for Clef! I'm also trying something new for this animation by using the physics in L2D so we'll see how that turns out!

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

We started work on the next update for Dreadlord Ascension as well as doing some bugfixes and improvements to the current version!

Next version:

The next version will be focused on the remake for the dates as well as a new minigame for the last variable for the servants: Corruption!

Do note that characters will not be able to be corrupted yet (unless time allows to make one in this update) as that will require some other stuff we're going to include in other updates.

The minigame will be similar to a "Stage Performance" in the throne room and will play in the fashion of a solo card game.

Basically, you build up a deck with cards of various effects to increase your score which will translate to corruption on the character involved.

Here's an early preview of what we've got so far!


 

Import/Export for Android:

The import and export options will now work on Android and saves are compatible between the different kind of devices (Linux/Android/PC)!

Animations for the next week:

Next week will be the release of the monthly pixel animations. These will include the idle animations for Ayers, Seilon and Sol which will conclude the set of idles for all characters! These idles are used in the minigame I talked about above!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension next update

 

Palestra:

The poll has ended and we're in for another Clef update! I will be starting work on that soon!

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

It's finally coming! We're nearing the end of the current update! All we are missing now is connecting Lenga's update together, making his stage and testing! Thankfully, we already did some tests in September so that should significantly cut back on the needed testing.

The update should release between November 24 and November 30th. We'll be cutting it fairly close with the remaining work, but I think we can make it. The only thing I'm unsure about is if we'll manage to make more performance optimization for Android (this means you'll need a pretty good phone to run the game until we can get to this.)



Beyond the November update:

As we're nearing the end of the current update, Threeclaws and I have also been deciding on the steps we're going to take next. Before we continue the story (main or new world), we decided it'd be best to get all the reworks out of the way, but also add in pretty much all the features we want in the game so we have a better idea of how much work one character will be in total.

As such, these are our current plans for the next updates (needed time per update is subject to change):

Update 1 (December - January):

  • Reworking the dates - Our aim here is to flesh them out more as a minigame and reduce the info dump they currently are. They will still give affinity, but they will also be tied to the corruption.

  • Corruption cards - This minigame will be the new way we use the animations currently used for Cervius's refresh in battle (which means it will be removed from there). This minigame will be the main way to increase a character's corruption along with the dates.

Update 2 (February - March):

  • Ero combat animations - Introducing a new way to play ero moves in combat. This will be used by Cervius, characters and some enemies. (As an example, if you trigger a character's corruption during combat, he'd be able to use an ero move on another character on the field to trigger some effect on them. Some enemies could also be given ero moves to use on characters. Our plan is to use the new battlefields to our advantage for this.)

  • Skill Grids - This will rework the skill system. Characters will now have their own skill grids to streamline how they acquire skills by spending SP. (more info on that later!)

Update 3 (April - May):

  • Conquest map rework - This will be a big rework to the conquest map. Not only how it looks, but how it works and it will affect the game pretty significantly as most locations will now be tied to this map.

As usual plans are subject to change, but these are our current plans so we can finish laying the groundwork we've been slowly working on since we began Dreadlord Ascension. Some of those updates may touch upon basic systems of the game and as such, it's possible that saves may become incompatible with the new versions. Which is why really want to get those updates out of the way.

 Palestra: 

The next update will again be a Clef update as voted by patrons. I started the writing for the update and have also been writing for all the leftover main story updates. Based on the text I'll have by the end of it, I think we'd have 3-4 main story updates left ;).

Dreadlord Ascension:

We made some good progress for the next update! I've been focused on making assets for the new maps as well as some more idle animations that will be part of the next animation package. This time, I'm aiming to make an animation for Fenris, Alastor and two other characters. Fenris and Alastor are already done.

As for the stages, the Daemonheim part is now mostly over and we turn our attention towards Dregan!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

New poll is available to start voting on the next update!

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

The Lenga update is pretty much all in the game minus his unit and stage! This means another big chunk of the next update is now complete. I can now focus back on the stages to help out Threeclaws as there is still a lot of work to be done (Dregan and Daemonheim stages + some optimisation for the mobile version)

It's been very hard gauging the amount of work for this update since it's pretty big and involved a lot of new assets and systems. Unfortunately, we're still going to need more time to deliver the update and so we need to push back to November for the release. This time though, it should be the last time we need to delay as we're nearing completion and we should have another Discord test before the official release!

New Palestra version and weekly update

New update is up! This time it's a small one but I hope you'll like the appearance of a certain character :P.

Dreadlord Ascension:

I've been working on putting in the Lenga scenes this week! I should be able to wrap this up this week and then I'll be helping out Threeclaws with the 3D stages.

If you want to help out by giving feedback, we've also started testing the 3D maps of Radian on the Discord server!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

I skipped doing an update last week as I didn't have much visuals to share, but since I've been working on the new CG this weekend, I can show this!

The new update should be coming out next weekend! It's going to be a fairly short update as I made some assets that will be used in later updates, but I'm glad to be working on Hiro for this update xP.

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

Currently, we've made some good progress on the Lenga and 3D voxel stage update! Radian is getting close to done and next up we will need to work on the Daemonheim and Dregan stages.




Threeclaws is the one remaking the main story stages and he's been doing a very nice job on them! Later this week, we will be holding a second test on the Discord server for the Radian stages and this test will include the mobile version.

While Threeclaws makes progress on the stages, I have been taking care of Lenga's side of the update by putting in his cutscenes! This side of the update will not be tested on Discord, but it will be released alongside the stage update!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

The new poll is over and this month's poll was to decide the theme for the new CG and the winning theme is "Threesome. This works out perfectly as it will go very well with what I had in mind for the story scene!

Dreadlord Ascension:

This week, I've done new 3D assets and the combat sprites for Lenga (still need to put together the animations in Godot though!).

We also made some tests, adjustments and development for the mobile version of the 3D maps. The result works pretty well, however, such an upgrade over the previous sprite maps will come at a cost in performance. Those who could barely run the 2D version may unfortunately not be able to run the game on mobile anymore ><.

My phone is pretty old by now and can run the game around 15-20 FPS during combat. However, mobile is a very hard thing to gauge with all the different models so we hope it works out well ><!

New public Palestra version and weekly update

Changelogs:

- Added new story events for Natsu

- Added Gray vs Natsu to the arena (available after getting up to 750 relationship with Natsu)

- Added a new tease for Gray (when Natsu wears the kinky underwear)

- Fixed Reki's still being home despite being assigned to the brothel

- Fixed the menu being unavailable after talking to Yuu for Clef's quest

New update is out and available for download! As mentioned last week, the next update for Palestra will be the next step in Clef's quest. I've still put up a poll to decide something as part of the update.

Dreadlord Ascension:

Currently, we're still hard at work doing the stage maps (and discussing other reworks we feel would be necessary for the game in order to include the Corruption that will obviously come to the game eventually).

As it is, I am now fully focused on making 3D assets while Threeclaws is doing the layout for the maps. You will notice that new map layouts have been changed to make use of the new possibilities with 3D!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

The sex toy assets are now done, and so are the outfits, only thing left is the writing and so the update will be coming out next week!

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

Last week, we did a test on the server for the new 3D maps using the tutorial and we made some changes based on the feedback we got (we still need to fix some more) but we also started going forward with the new 3D style. The second map is now redone and we will start with Radian soon! While we're going to try to do all the maps for the first update, it's possible not all renown missions will be done (in which case we'll only have one for each renown so the progress isn't blocked)

In the new combat style, when a combat triggers, a new scene will play where characters will fight each other similar to Fire Emblem! We made sure this scene plays quickly, but also, we will attempt to put something to skip those)


Also, the new animations for Lenga are now available for download. These animations will also appear in the next update as Lenga becomes available as a servant! In this pack, I also included Ayers's portraits because I just realised I never distributed them.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

The content and features update won once again! I started working on the new outfits for that update and will be doing the same content as the last two update (1 corruption outfit + 2 pet outfits and 1 toy).

However, for the October Palestra update, I will be doing an update for Clef and will instead hold a poll to decide something part of his update.

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

We're nearing the first test for the new Dreadlord Ascension map style! Since we're close to done with the initial map, I can finally show pictures of it!


We still need some polish for the map, but you can see the style we're going for! What you see above is the first tutorial map in the game. We've made several improvements to how the cutscenes are played on the map too!

The only thing missing from the initial demo will be combat scene. We want to make a fight closeup stage similar to Fire Emblem to improve the combat visuals.

With the next update, our goal will be to remake all the maps in this style! The upside is that making assets for those maps is even faster than the 2D sprite assets but remaking all the maps will take some time.

On top of the visuals, this remake will also add a new dimension of height to the maps! Units will be able to move up and down cliffs at a movement cost and we also hope we can make it affect other aspects of combat!

We hope you're looking forward to test those improvements and this is only the first of 3 major parts we're planning to rework in the next updates!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

New poll is available for the next Palestra update!

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

The first of the 3 rework we've been planning is going well so far! If everything goes according to our plans, we should have a demo stage available for testing on the Discord server to get feedback before the end of the month (or early next month)!

As part of this effort, I've also been working on converting our current unit scenes into 3D scenes to make them work with our new stages! While doing this, I am also adding "hit" sprites to all units to improve feedback when units are hitting each other. In addition to that, I remade the animations for Cervius and added a transformation animation to Fenris!

V1.68 is now publicly available! Here are the changes in this update!


Changelogs:

- Added a new scene for Clef's/Tatsumi's quest. Talk to Clef while your relationship is > 250 to trigger the first scene

- Added Clef/Tatsumi scene in the gallery under Tatsumi

- Added a new underwear for Clef (talk to Hiro when he visits the harem after Clef has joined the harem)

- Added a new underwear for OoT Link (bought from Cervius's shop for 500 contest coins)

- Added Natsu's swimsuit

- Added new Ezreal underwear (talk to Ezreal after you've opened the first two chests so he can give you the next one)

- Tatsumi's portraits received an update to polish/improve them

 

Palestra:

New update is available! I will be making the poll next week to decide on the next update.

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

We're nearly ready to show the first screenshot of what we've been working for the map rework! We have several reworks in the next few months and this is the first (and probably biggest) one.

While Threeclaws is taking care of the coding side, I'm still at work on the Lenga update. The portraits are now complete and so are several assets. The only part missing are the combat animations now!

Also, while we are reworking the maps, I am taking this opportunity to update some character animations! (Currently, I added new animations to Fenris, Cervius and I plan to add a new one to Aeren too) Also, I've been working on adding new hit sprites for everything in the game too!

In the meantime, here's a preview for one of Lenga's CG!

Dreadlord Ascension and Palestra weekly update

Palestra:

Text is done and I also have two extra pet outfits! (one for Shinra and one for Sorey) The update should be coming out next week!

Dreadlord Ascension:

Lenga's animations are finally done and now I'm moving on to other needed assets. Since Lenga's affinity was most likely the last one I needed to do this year, I'm now going to focus on the sprite animations. This month, I'll make two for Lenga and starting September, I will be doing polls to decide on who gets what! (Been a while since I made those but with all the back to back characters it wasn't possible x) )

The next update for Palestra should be very similar to the previous update as far as content goes as the wining options in the poll were basically the same as last month's.

Since I made Caspar's corruption outfit last month, I made Ashe's this month. Up next, it will be Alm's sex toy and I most likely will make some extra outfits (like for the brothel or pet).

Dreadlord Ascension:

This week (and last week!) I've been working on Lenga's affinity scene. I should be done with it this week and send it over in time for next week! It's been quite long to make this time around as I've been doing a scene that involves all the Radian characters and Cervius (because Lenga is one hungry angel lol)

New Palestra update

I'm releasing a new public Palestra update this week! You can play the Palestra update by going on the game's page. The following have been added in v1.67

Changelogs:

  • Added the start of Clef's quest (you need to have finished, Ragna, Ralkyx, Katakura Town and Castle Town to start him. To do this, head to Ragna's throne room once all of the above has been done)
  • Made it so Natsu is affected by the demon outfit aura of lust
  • fixed a bug with the table at the festival
  • added Clef to the harem with his regular outfit and two underwears

Dreadlord Ascension and Palestra weekly update

Palestra:

Been working on the Palestra update and I'm done with the assets. All that's left now is the writing and assembling the update! The new version will be available next weekend. In the meantime, here's a little teaser about the toy for OoT!

Dreadlord Ascension:

The animation package is now available for Dreadlord Ascension. Currently, I'm doing the text for the Lenga update. Also, we're currently working on a big update for a major system of the game, however, we're not ready to show proper pictures just yet. Maybe in the upcoming weeks.

Also, about the survey, I'm going to post the result and talk about them next week as I want to give more time to people to answer! So far though, we're really happy with the feedback.

A new guest for Dreadlord Ascension!

This is the weekly update post but as the title suggests, I have something special to share. Let's start with Palestra first as usual.

Palestra:

The poll has concluded and I will be adding at least a new sex toy and possibly a corrupted outfit + an outfit for Corrin in the next update. I will be starting work on it this week so I do not have much to share just yet.

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

Currently, I'm focusing on testing for Sol's update, and it will soon be available on the Discord server for early testing before the release at the end of the month.

However, with Dregan's story concluding with Sol, what's coming next?

The immediate chapter after Dregan story will be an extra, but a very special one. We will introduce a new character that you may have seen in Paradiso Guardian.

That's right! After Dregan, the following update will focus on Lenga Valentine! A character from Paradiso Guardian made by @lvlv_art!



I'm so excited to work on this character and he will be a servant in the castle in the same way other characters are.

As of right now, however, we cannot give the release date for this update, it will either be at the end of August or September. Lenga's update may contain a substantial revamp on a major part of the game, but we're not sure if we're going to include it in this update or not. More news on this revamp later on when we're ready to share it.

For now, back to testing and I will be giving more news about Lenga later on!

New public Palestra update

 The update can be downloaded from the "Palestra" page.

V1.66 changelogs:

- Added Natsu's corruption outfit to the demon shop

- Added 2 new NSFW frames (can be bought from the NSFW frames merchant in the brothel. The two new ones are from HSR (Caelus/Gepard) and FE (Shez).

- Added Natsu's sex toy (after inserting/gifting the gel, use the toy during the day or night for different scenarios (3 different for the day, 3 different for the night)

- Added passwords (available to the last tier patrons) to progress the game faster instead of using a complete save. Passwords can be used to add relationship to all characters, add Credits or add contest medals/coins. I Will add more if people ask for it

New demo (and Android) for Dreadlord Ascension available

 I uploaded the Dreadlord Ascension page with a new demo! From now on, when clicking on the "Dreadlord Ascension" button at the top, you will be taken to the itch.io page. That way, I can keep all the demo stuff in one place. The new demo adds some new content (furnishing for Cervius's bedroom mainly) but most important, it adds the Android version!

The Android version isn't perfect by any means. It's our first time making the android version of a game, but it should be fully playable! Do keep in mind the minimum requirement if you download the Android version to make sure it runs smoothly!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension update

This week was pretty straightforward, I only worked on two major things (animations and sprite animations lol). I'm progressing at a pretty good pace and I really hope I can finish the DA update in time before the Elden Ring DLC comes out! xP

 

Palestra:

All contest animations (and milking) are now done for Ezreal. This only leaves his last CG which i'll be tackling next weekend!




Dreadlord Ascenion:

This week, I managed to complete Sol's affinity scene. I still need to add the sounds, but with this done, I can now move to all the other assets I need for Sol's update. The affinity animations for Sol should be released on Sunday next week!

For this week, I worked a lot and almost exclusively on Sol's affinity scene. I already have all his 3 closeups complete and will be drawing his final scene starting tomorrow. This scene will be available to download for patrons at the start of june.

I also pushed out a new update just now to fix some more bugs in the current DA version.

Future updates and weekly news

This week, we have a special update. I want to share news about our plans for Dreadlord Ascension but also give an update about what happens after Palestra.

We wanted to make Whiteblade after Palestra, but due to Dreadlord Ascension taking up so much time, I'm considering pushing back Whiteblade indefinitely until we can find proper time for it.

Instead, I will be dedicating more time to Dreadlord Ascension to polish the game and also add certain types of content more regularly like the sprite animations. I would also make polls more often to let you guys decide on content like which animations to make monthly, which random event I should make, or even which character should be added first when possible.

Following this, when Palestra is done, I would change tiers as follow:

1$ Tier: Support and access to the informative update posts

5$ Tier: Access to the latest Dreadlord Ascension Build

10$ Tier: Access to the monthly pixel animation

20$ Tier: Voting for DA polls and the monthly pixel animation

30$ Tier: Access to the complete save for Dreadlord Ascension and access to the additional ressources from Dreadlord Ascension (CG, Affinity Animations, portraits)

 

Palestra:

For Palestra, this weekend, I wrote the text. The update is progressing nicely and next week I will be making the CG for it!

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

Quite a bit to share about Dreadlord Ascension this week, let's get into it!

Future updates:

With Dregan's main story ending in the upcoming June update, we will now be moving on to the next chapter for Dreadlord Ascension! The current plans are as follow:

June: Sol update, re-ordering the missions in Dregan to follow the logical order (like affinity cannot be started until the Dregan story is over)

August: More information on this update later. This will be a special update focused on a specific character which we will reveal later on but I'm super excited about him coming to the game!

October: This update will continue Daemonheim's Main story.

December: In this update, we will be visiting the third world! For this world, we want to try a different approach and add the main story in a single update while characters will receive their specific updates after the main story.

This lays out our plans for the year, but we also are working on several updates and improvements for the game scattered through those updates.

During one of these upcoming updates we're planning on introducing overhauled mission maps, which will all be made via voxels.

We are also currently exploring what could be a significant improvement to the battles. However we can't promise anything as of yet.

Android:

Finally, with this release you should now be able to play Dreadlord Ascension on Android devices. Just be warned, that since this is our first mobile release there are sure to be some bugs and problems. We'd be happy about your feedback so we can further improve this version of the game.

 

 

This week:

For the start of May, I've been working on the Sol sprite animations and made the hardest of them first, Sol's Finisher. I wonder what they're doing in that pod...

New public Palestra build and weekly update!

The update 1.64 adds Natsu as a recruitable character! You can download the new version from the Palestra page.


Changelogs V1.64.1:

- Fixed Shinra, Yuu and Sora's scenes disappearing from the gallery when they are assigned to the brothel

- Natsu's fundoshi should now be buyable from the underwear shop

- Fixed the sprites for Natsu and Gray when siwtching outfits

- Fixed the end of Natsu's daily activity not changing the position of characters and the song playing

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

New update is available! This is a content and features update which adds some new outfits and a new random event! The poll for the next update has now started!

Dreadlord Ascension:

We're currently putting in the new update! It should be completed by the end of the week/next weekend. If you're able and want to help with the testing on either the mobile or PC release prior to release, you will be able to do so on the Discord server!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

Writing done and I made a little random event on top of the teases for the new outfits! This update will be coming out next week along with this month's poll!

Dreadlord Ascension:

This week we'll be starting putting everything in Godot to assemble the Ayers update! If everything goes well, the update will be coming out on April 28th!

Also, we have made really good progress on the mobile version of the game. While it won't be fully polished (too many menus to optimize for mobile in one go, but it will all be playable!)

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

The outfits for the new Palestra update are done! There is a total of 6 outfits between "Pet", "Corruption" and "Brothel". Next up is to do the writing, and since this is a smaller scale update, I might also add in a random event to buffer up the update a little.


Dreadlord Ascension:

The animation for Ayers are now done and I'm doing a last minute addition I forgot which is Ayers's throne room animation (He's such a good captain he takes care of his subordinates!)

We're soon going to be putting in all the stuff in the editor and start testing the new update. As for me, I'm going to be testing the mobile version of the game for the end of the day. Hopefully I don't encounter too many roadblocks ><.

If everything goes well, we're planning to release the update on April 28th. We want to try and give ourselves as much time as possible to test the mobile version on top of the new update.
