Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Doing a quick update this weekend, let's get into it!

Palestra:

Most of the assets are now ready and the writing is done! The next step will be to put everything together.

Dreadlord Ascension:

We're making good progress on the next update! I don't have much to show since we've been working a lot on the writing (hero challenges, making the start for Daemonheim (trying to get to the part where Alastor joins but it might take another update for that), the remade affinities and the summon cutscenes).
What I can show, however, is a small preview of a defeated scene CG, so here's part of Zel's drawn by Coco!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension news

Palestra:

Progress on the DA update with Natsu's companion getting a full portrait. Moreover, I want to add another companion who's one of my personal favorite after Natsu in Fairy Tail but I'm not sure I'll have time to add him in this update. I still need to make the writing, Natsu's daily activity and an art asset for the MC milking that was added in the last update.
 

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

 Last week, I mentioned new changes for Dreadlord Ascension, and since the poll was overwhelmingly positive I'm now ready to announce the changes.

Here are the big lines for those changes:
Adventure board and traits:
This new feature would be a board where you can send your servants on adventures. Many rewards would be added to those in order to cut back on the grind and heroes could also gain traits which would influence how they interact with some of the features in the game like battles or worker slots.


Shortened worlds:
Worlds like Radian or Dregan would be significantly shortened and no longer follow the current story format. Instead, we would make hero challenge maps where each completed map would unlock a new hero.
Since those maps would be harder than the story maps, we would also have a craftable item to skip a stage should it prove to be too hard for some players. Additionally, following the feedback we were given, each of those map will include a defeated scene should Cervius fail.
 
 
Most importantly, doing heroes this way would allow us to work on multiple worlds in parallel depending patron preferences instead of doing them linearly.


Daemonheim story:
One of the big points that brought us to consider these changes is how long it would take to progress the story. At the current pace we're going, we would only start to talk about Daemonheim in about 3 years. With those changes, the hero worlds would become shorter side stories to know the heores while Daemonheim would take a more central role. As part of the main story, you would still visit other worlds (like Fenris's world), but those would have a direct impact on the daemonheim story.

Conquest Map:
The conquest map would be a feature mixing both the adventure board and the current strategy turn battles in order to conquer and maintain Cervius's territory.

New training methods:
The training in Dreadlord Ascension would receive additional content. A new minigame in which you can directly train your servants to raise their sex level. Their sex level can also be maintained by putting them in a sex working slot, however, should they abstain from sex work for too long, their level would decrease. It would also be possible to assign characters like Alastor or Fenris to a room and train other servants automatically.
 
The other training minigame would be a milking minigame where you get to milk servants manually which can yield a higher number of bottles.
 
 

The changes we want to do would require some time (I'm foreseeing about 2 months which is in line with our regular update schedule). The biggest change here lies in the story, but with this new method, we would be able to explore new worlds and characters much faster and we would be able to focus more the interactions between Cervius and his servants, as well the between the different servants.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

 This week on patreon, I am making a poll to ask patrons for important changes to be made to Dreadlord Ascension, once the poll is over, I will be sharing what those changes are on the blog ;).

 As for Palestra, I released a new build last week which gives a little preview on the next character coming to Palestra, Natsu!

 Palestra:

Well, I was expecting it, but Natsu won the poll by a landslide haha. I will be starting work on the next update but my biggest question now is who could be paired up with Natsu... guess i'll have to make my pick this week haha!


Dreadlord Ascension:

We're considering big changes for Dreadlord Ascension based on the feedback we received in the last two weeks to improve the pacing of the story and the castle side of the game. You can head over to the big post with all the details to vote on if you want those changes or not.

New Palestra updates available

 

Version 1.63 can be downloaded from Patreon. This new update concludes Ralkyx and gives insight about an upcoming character xP.


 Version 1.53.2 can now be downloaded from the public Palestra page! This update concludes Alm's quest, you can see the full list of changes below.

 

Changelogs:

- Fixed a bug with Roxas's portraits when milking him

- Changed the requirement to buy furniture at the farm. After obtaining the Cowboy outfit, you can now buy the furniture (instead of having to wear the outfit)

- Relationship story end for Alm 

- 1 new scene 

- Fixed the messages for Kuga to appear in the Brothel 

- Added Gray as a possible guest in the brothel 

- Added 4 new underwears/Outfit for Alm 

- Added Alm's contest moves 

- Removed the randomiser option when sleeping, instead, you can randomise the clothes by interacting with the shirt on a stand in the bedroom 

- Added a new NSFW frame (buy the Enhancer in the Brothel shop and give it to Shirou)
