(Game)Chapter 2 update 20

Here I am with this week update and this is a pretty big update, lots of progress was made and I have a few things to share so let's get started!

First of all, last week I said I would post something to help you guys get a better idea of what remains to be done. Here's a list that details what I want to do before the chapter release, note that this list does not contain what was done prior to making it.

Things left to do:
- Finalize the main quest cutscenes (Add the jump off/on switch, the quest triggers and BUST FALSE/TRUE) (X)
- Finish ???’s drawing (*)
- Complete the sidequest for the monsters (*)
- Complete Aeyan’s romance (*)
- Change the first dungeon elemental puzzle ()
- Add the new scenes in the CG Gallery ()
- Write the remaining CG Scenes (*)
- Write Aeyan’s romance scenes ()
- Code in the romance for Aeyan (*)
- Make the ice mantis’ hideout (X)
- Add the monsters and chests on the maps ()
- Make the shops (X)
- Finish the monsters’ data (*)
- Finalize the new equipment and items (X)
- Make the sprites for Hiro’s weapons (X)
- Finish the Exkit’s sprites by removing the ears (*)
- Add Oside’s teleportation crystal to the list of possible destinations once unlocked ()
- Add the npcs in the towns along with their dialogues ()
- Write Yuuki’s final scene (X)
- Change the player movement speed to 4 after the boss scene (X)
- Change the first chapter’s sidequests and the second chapter sidequest to appear automatically after the chapter has been completed ()
- Make Hiro’s naked and Underwear sprites (X)
- Add the interaction bubbles over the events ()
- Add new tilesets (X)
- Make the button to hide the map (X)
- Finish the temple (*x)
- Make Hiro’s room and the basement in Palestra (X)
- Playtest and fix bugs/make improvements ()
- Update the synthesis list ()
- Finalize the skill animations ()
- Make the Slime and Mantis Sprites (X)
- Extract the Slime’s finished images (X)
- Set the songs and BG for every map ()
- Add names to the credit page ()

New sprites are made for the monster boys!


This is something that wasn't quite included in the list above, but I made the first fight for one of the monster boys. Instead of having a normal battle like I last previewed, I instead made something similar to a duel in a first person view. In the picture below, we have Tael against Slime.

The way these "duels" work is as follow: The monster in front of you will do a random action, as seen below, Slime decides to "sink in the floor". Once the monster did his action, the player is given 4 choices:

- Physical Attack
- Magical Attack
- Guard
- Dodge

Depending on which one you choose, you will either take a hit, hit the opponent or negate damage. Guarding and dodging, you can also inflict damage depending on which move the ennemy is using. To know which choice you should take, you have to come prepared, thankfully its not all that complicated. The professor asking you to defeat these monsters gathered plenty of information about them. To know how to defeat them, read up his notes on the monster you are about to fight to know their habits, strengths and weaknesses.


The monster's life is indicated by how much clothes they lose. Once they're naked means one final hit will take them down. As for the player, you can always take a maximum of 4 hits. If you are low on life, a message will be displayed at the beginning of the turn, telling you that you can't take anymore hits. If a monster boy defeats one of your party member, a sweet "game over" is waiting for him :).

This wraps up the monster fights, you shouldn't be worried about these being too hard in this chapter as these are the first fights, if you read up on them before fighting them, everything will be fine.


Even though the professor asked you to defeat the monsters, Tael wants to bring them back to Palestra. For what reason? Only time will tell. In the meantime, you can visit them anytime in Palestra's basement where they will live. You can talk to them to know more about these guys or view their different states (those you can see during a fight as they lose health.)


A new character means new weapons! Hiro knows how to use a wide range of weapons, however the katanas and bows are his main weapons. He really is attached to the current bow he has so the only thing he will switch up is his katana.

Hiro also received another small update with new sprites: naked and fundoshi!

  1. Looking these updates only make want more the chapter two. Do you haven't a predicton of the release, kind, two months? And congradulations of the work, very good.

I can't fucking believe you've been hiding from me in the depths of the internet for so long, only found out about you yesterday and I've instantly fallen in love with both the Mugen edits and this game's progress. Dude you're fucking amazing, please keep it up. I'm in desperate need of some hot new fapping material, lol.

    1. Thank you :D! I admit I do have a bit habit of not really positng what I do outside of my blog XD. (I'm a bit lazy when it comes to this stuff) You can always look forward to new stuff on wednesday (game) and sunday (mugen). I usually post the new stuff around 11 pm EDT/EST.

    2. So far from what I can tell, you're way more active and hardworking than 95% of the other yaoi game devs and artists I've found across the internet so far, and I'm not even joking. It gets kinda sad how often the yaoi community's creations just flop because of the artists disappearing out the blue or go on hiatuses for months/years then randomly come back with some tiny updates. Which is why you shocked me so pleasantly with how much amazing work you do. Seriously, thank you for this~ Can't wait for more, regardless of how long it takes! <3

    3. Thanks and I know the feeling of seeing something promising only to see the artist drop it, happened so many times before I started the game, it kind of motivated me even further to make that game ;p.
