Quest:
Last week, I introduced you to a few things about the character's quests and this week is no different. First, the quest log is making a return in this game. Much like WhiteBlade, the quest log will keep track of all your current quests and you will be able to track your relationship points like in WhiteBlade.
Since there is no specific order to initiate quests in this game, characters will have an extra indication to tell you they have a quest for you. This indication will appear as a "!" above a NPC's head.
*I will make it more obvious in the final version of the game, but you can get the basic idea of the "!" in the picture above.
Next up, we also have something else that's part of the quests and these are the mini-games that come with most character's daily routine.
During the day, you will be able to help out a character of your choice like helping out Souma in his kitchen or simply spend the day with a character like Corrin. Spending time with them will improve your relationship and reward money.
Some daily routines, like Link, will require to fight enemies. In Harem Builder, you will encounter a different fight system than WhiteBlade. This one is much more simple than WhiteBlade and since the default fight system is taken by the contests, I had to come up with something else entirely.
This fight system is straightforward. Once you see an enemy, you walk up to it and press the interaction button. Once the music starts, this means the fight has started. There are 3 distinct things you can see in the picture below.
On the left side, you can see the button you have to press in order to attack the enemy ("Q" in the picture above). Should you press the wrong button, the enemy will attack you instead. In the right corner, you are shown the amount of time you have to press the button. Failing to press the right button before the time runs out will make you lose 1 heart. The hearts in the middle show your HP. These hearts are replenished automatically after each fight.
An enemy will take a different amount of hits to kill. For examples, bats take 5 hits to kill which means you have press the right button five times to defeat it. Should you lose all your health, you will be returned to the nearest town but this also means you won't be able to complete your daily quest for that day.
That's it for what I'm showing about the quests this week!
Portrait update:
The portrait update is almost over! This week we have both Souma and Corrin.
*I made a new naked pose but he still uses the old one when he wears his headband. (The old pose was updated too).
***I will be holding a few extra polls next month on my Patreon, including a poll to decide the next character I'll be adding to the Castle Town.
