Weekly update

This week we managed to get a good amount of progress! Not only are the assets for the apartment are done, I also finished both animations which will be released next week!

While I don't have much to share in terms of quantity of content, doing animations always takes quite a while and the only part left now is to implement them in godot which will be done this week!

If you're interested to see what I'm working on or see what i'm currently playing, you can hop in on picarto, I stream most days (save for when there's a lot of writing to do lol)!

Weekly update

Last week, I finished off Akuma's portraits and there was a bit more to do there than I had first anticipated. This is because we started thinking of ideas for what we wanted to do for his affinity/training, and as it turns out, Akuma will receiveh is corruption form earlier than others. We're also planning to make that appearance his fight unit. As a little tease, here's a preview of him. His portraits will be released early next month.

Also, after Akuma's portraits, I'm now taking care of assets to create an appartment room. When starting Kogetsu, the castle will be unavailable until the world's story has been completed (which is also why we need to release it all in one go). While in Kogetsu, Cervius will be able to walk around the appartment as a "stand in" for the castle between cutscenes.

Finally, I have one unfortunate news for this update, and it's that we'll be releasing it in may instead of April. This is because I want to give Coco (the artist doing the CGs) more time because this update has a lot more artwork than usual, so this is also great for the update's content!

This week, I will be working on the furniture but I also may start on Yuuto's animations with Cervius which will also be released alongside Akuma's portraits. If you're interested, you can go to my picarto!

Weekly upda

It's finally done! Barring a few additions. The writing is done! At least the initial writing. We still have the coding and second read to do, but now I'm taking a break from that to focus back on the needed assets for the update. In total, the writing comes around a staggering 42 000 words, the biggest amount I've done for a single update.

For the first assets I'm going to work on, it's Akuma's portraits and most likely exporting all the different portrait parts for all the characters. I've already started working on that yesterday.

Today, we're also releasing another bugfix version for the DA version to fix a crashing bug with Sol's stage in Dregan.

====

As a side note, I've been playing Pokopia the past week and the game's actually incredible. We already had a pseudo building mechanic for the monster "enclosures" and the game gave me some ideas for the assets we can make. If you're able to play the game, I definitely recommend it!

Weekly update

Sorry about the late update! I had some connection issues during the last week which made doing some of the work a bit of a pain but it's getting much better now! The writing is progressing nicely but we've still got a hefty amount to do. Still, we're more than halfway done now! Also, Yuuto's portraits are nearly ready and will be released next week. Just a heads up though, but for those that want the portraits, they contain a bit of a spoiler about Kogetsu's story x).

Since we had some major bugs in the previous version, i'm releasing another bugfix version. The bug we're squashing is related to the Stage Performance not being playable after clicking one card. We're also reducing the difficulty for the mission 2-2 based on the feedback we got.

This week, I'm going to try to wrap up the writing, but realistically, it'll be done the week after. At least the base draft, after that, I gotta go through the text to add all the code and give it a second read.

I'm also going to start working on the assets soon to break up the the time I spend on the writing. There's a decent amount to do but at least on that end it shouldn't be that much longer compared to regular updates.

If you'd like to see what I do when I'm live, be sure to check out my picarto!
