As mentioned last week, the next update will cover the remainder of Ragna's story and of course, this means new CGs!
Mugen:
This week, I have an important announcement to make about Mugen. Following a poll on Patreon. An overwhelming majority voted that I should stop working on Mugen and instead make a new sprite based game about Cervius. This new game will be available for free after it's playable and comes out on Patreon but this will take a few months to happen.
In the meantime, I will slowly release the Mugen patreon content for free but also, I will be removing some content from the next and last few Mugen updates. This content includes:
- Megaman
- Erile
- Toshiro
- Pit
- DDC's Age Regression move
The above content will not be part of next week's free update release.
Still, if you're a free user, you can look forward to the last bits of unreleased content but I hope you're also looking forward to my new project! I will be posting more information about the game as things progress!
It's a little sad to see you leave mugen, but I'm excited for the new game! Do you ever think you'll go back and finish up some old mugen characters other than link just for completion?
ReplyDeleteMaybe at some point, who knows :P But I think moving away from mugen was inevitable at some point because I could basically make an endless amount of content for it xP.
DeleteIt's a shame about mugen but the new game sounds cool. By the way when you say it's about ddc do you mean he's the mc and if so does that mean it's going to be similar to palestra but more of corrupt and enslave the other targets instead of convincing them to join with benefits like in palestra?
ReplyDeleteNot exactly. Cervius will be the main character but it will be prior to him attaining the rank of Dreadlord :P. You will be charming heroes to grow your army but you'll see once things becomes more clear ;).

ReplyDeleteFor me, the main reason i've followed you for some years is purely due to Mugen; the games were a bonus for me.
I also want to know this too, can i commission you to make mugen sprites?
DeleteUnfortunately no, I won't have enough time for commissions, but the new game will have sprite animations like Mugen did and I am making the game with that in mind.
DeleteI agree with Xean. I followed for Mugen and if the "sprite based game" will be like Palestra, then I'm sorry, you've lost my support. Good luck though and thank you for your work, wish you the best!
ReplyDeleteThe new sprite based game will play nor be like Palestra. The only similar things the games will have is the you can walk around Cervius's Castle to talk to people and do upgrades on your Castle and stuff like that. And characters will have portraits when you talk to them (although the portraits will be in pixel art). Aside from that, the two games will play much more differently.

ReplyDeletewell, the thing with that, is that mugen characters can never truly be completed xP. I can add an infinite amount of moves to Top characters which in turn increases work on all other characters x)
DeleteI'm actually really excited about a game where you play as Cervius. I really genuinely hope it becomes a non-con rape fest where you can go around and rape everyone and make them into sex slaves. I think you're very talented and can do a really solid hot game about rape and slavery with Cervius as the base. That's kind of his thing anyway. And it's very much so my thing, that's why I've always liked him as a character and why I wrote a slavery/harem story, not based around him, but about a character kind of like him. Rape, kidnapping, and enslavement. So yeah, this makes me super excited to see what you do! I can't wait!

Deletewell, aside from animations, I don't plan on having characters having different outfits (you can have them strip though). Also, I plan to have the game not be directly noncon. My goal is to make it so that it can be viewed in both ways but we'll see how that ends up being haha (it's actually one of the challenges I'll have. Cervius technically never has been a tyrant or a super aggressive/cruel demon :P)
DeleteAwwwww. Noncon is why I love him so much. That's why I love him in Mugen. How DDC constantly forces all these hot guys into sexual situations they don't want to be in and then ends up forcing them to be sex slaves to him. That's why I end up loving all the fan fiction written about him too, cause he's forcing everyone into being a slave and they're trying to fight him. I guess in Palestra he isn't strictly doing non-con, but he's got a fairly minor role in that game.
DeleteGood luck making it seem like both non-con and con! That seems super difficult. Hopefully the characters will struggle and resist a little bit! :D
For DDC can you make a template for victim characters for him so people can make their own characters from him

Delete...Ok so I guess the only thing I don't like here is that, again, you're terrified of doing any sort of work on shota or shota-like characters and now completely removed any downloads for them from your site. Why did you even start work on them if you're so paranoid that you'll be called out on it or whatever the problem is? At the very least release the characters for download now in whatever current state they're in then remove it later to give us time to obtain them. This just came out of the blue with no warning and they're some of my favorite characters. I'll just assume you'll stop work on Megaman in Palestra soon as well since he's shota (if you haven't done that already).

the premade game is still available if you want to download it, it'll be changed next week when I update the blog. As for the shota content, I've tried working on it for some time but it's just that I've always felt unsafe about it and I no longer want to put up with that stress. About Palestra, Megaman will still be worked on, you don't have to worry about that, the only thing about Megaman is that he'll look less shota (I already did an update about that a few months ago and I'm gonna do it again in the next patreon update but I'm still keeping the character close to what he looked) also in Palestra, it's possible to make the characters look 18+ and everyone in Pal IS 18+ unlike mugen where it's harder since all characters are in small sprites so you have no choice but to use their original material to base your view on them.
DeleteAlright then, only thing I don't understand is why you even tried the shota content to begin with. But fine, I guess I got my hopes up too high and no one's really gonna be doing shota content that's not completely underground and away from public eye lol.
DeleteSo for the premade game, are the shota characters up to date right now? I don't believe Toshiro is in the folder. We should just get whatever content they have for them right now and have them removed later on.
Because I don't dislike it per se for some very specific characters, but it's still not worth the risk. For Toshiro and other characters I'll be removing, I think I'll just keep them in the folders but not plug them directly into the game, so if you want to play them you'll have to manually add them.
Delete...Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by the characters thing. I don't see Toshiro anywhere, how do I obtain him? The others you included in the list for this post I see in the folder of the premade game, but not Toshiro. So are they all still actually available?
DeleteOh they're not released yet. In the coming months, I'll be releasing the missing characters one by one as to slowly deliver content as usual while I'm busy making the new game.
Delete...So the shotas will be available as well "in the coming months" even if you stop working on them? That's what I'm confused about. I thought you'll just delete them forever going forward from this post and they'll be removed forever.
DeleteThey just won't appear on the blog and won't have any pages on the blog but you'll be able to find the files of what's already been made and then manually add them in if you still want to use them. However, I no longer will do new work for them (or Mugen since I'm moving on to the new game)
