Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating!

I did not make a post last week because I wanted to finish what I was working on so let's get into this week's post with all the latest info!

Palestra:

For Palestra, I began working on the next update which is the Katakura Town quest. There are quite a bit of things left to do this and I don't know if I could release the update in time due to the holidays + my birthday all happening at the end of the month + the start of January. If I can't release it in time, I will try to put together a quick update and finish the Katakura quest for the update after.

Now, for what I've been working on, here's a preview of the animation I'm making for said update!


The animation is still a big work in progress but you can see what I'm aiming for!

With this update, I also want to make a simple new outfit characters will be able to get (not all characters at first, but a few characters will get it)


Dreadlord Ascension:

Big progress was made on the next DA update in the last 2 weeks and I want to give sneak peeks on my of them!


New rooms:

With this update, the castle will be receiving a substantial update. New vendors will appear and new rooms will be available! The 3 new rooms will be the reception room, the arena (and the registration room for the arena) as well as the garden! Some new worker slots will be added to those rooms and Cervius gets a fancy new statue when upgrading the gardens!


Arena Master:

While a minor character, a new servant of Cervius will appear in this update. He will basically be the replacement to the "major demon" that appeared in Cervius's attacks back in the Mugen days xP. From now on, he plays the role of the Arena Master. He is the one you want to talk to when you want to participate in the arena!


Zel HD animation:

The big piece of work I was working on is of course the Zel HD animation. This was the first HD animation I was doing in such a high quality (higher than the previous one with Soren) and since the golem was more fitting for Zel than Soren, I decided to roll with him again for this animation!

New Palestra version / Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

 Since the Dreadlord Ascension update is most likely to be next month, I am releasing a new public update for Palestra instead. You can now download it from the Palestra page.

V1.51 changelogs:

- Added Roxas's portraits

- Added Roxas's milking

- Added corruption outfit for Alm

- Added a new hidden event for Manami and Reki (at Palestra S during the night)

- Fixed some typos in Lan's teases

- Added some new NSFW frames

Palestra:

New update is now available which concludes Yuu! With him done, it seems people really want to see Katakura Town's quest. I will be focusing on this update next and hopefully be able to complete it within a month (I think it's doable xP)

Dreadlord Ascension:

Still working on what will hopefully be the January update (I think we're currently making some good progress and will be able to release it then).

In this update, Alastor won't be trainable yet, but he will still be able to be assigned to the worker slots with, of course, the proper outfit!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

There won't be a Dreadlord Ascension update this month, so instead, I will be releasing another Palestra update next week!

Palestra:

Almost everything is done for Yuu's update! All that's left now is to put everything ingame! The new Palestra update should be available Sunday next week!



Dreadlord Ascension:

The animations for this month are now done and available for download! With this done, I will be moving on to other parts of the next update in need of attention.

I don't have much to share visually this week since a lot of time went into the Alastor animation so I won't drag this on more than it needs to haha!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

Writing is fully and the portraits are also done for the most part (only the MC's are missing). What's next will be the milking and contest animations for Yuu.
On top of Yuu receiving the regular post story stuff, I also made 2 new outfits (+ 1 random event) for Shirou. I also made some minor changes to Shirou's portraits to make them look a little better. (mostly proportions with his head)




Dreadlord Ascension:
More progress on the new rooms for this week with the completion of the garden animations (3 animations for the garden with tentacles as the theme for those animations).
Also, I have been making the animations for next month's package. Fenris's animation frames are already complete and I'm currently making progress on a finisher for Alastor!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

 Since there is most likely no Dreadlord Ascension update yet in December as we're still working on the polish update, December will most likely have another free Palestra update instead for now.

Palestra:

Not much to share about Palestra just yet, but the poll is now over and Red's Choice won. As such, I decided to finish up Yuu to open the possibility of doing the Katakura Town quest next month! Yuu won't need much to be finished (only the regular stuff like milking, contest, brothel, etc.) so as a side to that, I will be making one or two outfits for another character xP.


Dreadlord Ascension:

In the next Dreadlord Ascension update, we're doing a lot of polish to Radian, but we'll also add some new content. As part of this content, one goal would be to add a total of 3 more rooms to the castle. The first of those room would be the Reception room.

*This is a work in progress

The reception room would have two uses:

1- Allowing the player to trade in a currency you get from completing stages in specific worlds.

2- Adding two worker slots which help gather said currency passively while doing other stuff.


The worker slots from this room would be mindcontrol themed. The guys you assigned will have a different animation based on if you assigned one or two guys there!

If there's only one worker, they will show off their body from the stage.


And if two are assigned they will be "working" together to provide a nice show for guests coming to the Reception Room!

Dreadlord Ascension news and new Palestra update available

 

A new update for Palestra is now available for free. You can take a look at what's new by reading the changelogs below. The new version is available from the Palestra page.

Changelogs v1.50.1:

- Fixed a bug where Kirito's introduction event could make Megaman's event with Lan get stuck

- Added Ezreal as a side character

- Added portraits and teases for Ezreal

- Added one new animation

- Fixed Kirito not having his default doggystyle skill (if you don't have it, talk to him in the harem and it will add it)

- Lan's portrait will now disappear after talking to him

- Fixed a bug with Megaman's corruption portraits (though you have to sell and re-buy the outfits if you want to fix this in your game)

- Fixed a bug with Megaman's helm in his demonic form portrait

- Fixed a bug that could get you stuck in Megaman's daily activity room

New update is up! You can refer to the update post to download it. On top of that, the new Palestra poll is available.


Dreadlord Ascension:

This week, I managed to make a final portrait version for one of the Dregan characters (the others should follow shortly).

Here comes Sol, a feathered dragon from the Phantasm clan! He will be the first character Cervius meets upon entering Dregan and will help the group during their time in this new world!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

The new update will be next week! I'm currently finishing up the last CG scene for Megaman. All I need to finish are his expressions so you can have a preview of it!

Dreadlord Ascension:

The new animation package is now available! With that out of the way, I can now start creating stuff for Dregan. I'm thinking of either finishing up a character portraits or two first or go ahead and start planning some assets for the combat maps.

We've also begun making changes to the early part of the game, improving on the tutorials, making them clearer but also making a lot of Radian maps easier or shorter. (Radian is like a big tutorial so overall it should be fairly easy.)

Dreadlord Ascension and Palestra weekly update

Palestra:

The Megaman update is coming along well. I began working on the second CG, but it won't be ready until next week. So instead, I will show the outfit used for said CG!

Dreadlord Ascension:

For the next update of Dreadlord Ascension, I'm finally adding an animation that was way overdue. It will be included in next week's animation package on top of the two animation that won the poll. (This animation is to be used when Cervius first makes a contract with Soren.)

New Dreadlord Ascension update and weekly news

 A new version of Dreadlord Ascension is now available! You can download it from Dreadlord Ascension page.

This new includes the chapter 4 for Radian. We've now officially gone beyond the story in the first iteration of the game, I'm really happy about this!

With this update, you should be able to reuse your previous saves. If there are any issues though, we've included saves to immediately start Leif's chapter. 

As part of this update, you will be able to summon Leif and Shade. Leif can be trained and his affinity quests can be done, however, Shade's part will be released in the next update.

Again, quite a bit has changed in this update, if you find any bugs, please report them in the comments below!

Changelogs V.0.2.18.1:

- Fixed some typos

- Fixed the size on Shade's Tentacle Trap animation

- Fixed the weapon for Leif when loading an old save file

- Fixed the castle disappearing when interacting with the mission table

- Fixed the castle disappearing after making the first contract

- Fixed a bug when switching the places of heroes when they are assigned to a job

- Added the missing summoning text to Asker

- Added numbers when attacking another unit to directly show the damage being dealt

- Fixed some minor bugs and typos

- Made more general polish to the fights and AI

- Added two new sprite animations for Fenris (the animations from last month)

- Normalized all the sounds in the game

- Added erection portraits for all the characters while they wear their standard clothes

- Added a custom cursor

- Added custom icons for the game (though those might need some more work)

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

 A new version for Dreadlord Ascension will be released next week! This new version will add in the Leif update as well as another slew of improvements! After this update, it's quite possible there will be one or two back to back Palestra free updates as we're giving ourselves more time for the Dreadlord Ascension update after this one. We're doing a bit polish update to all the scenes, cutscenes, stages, gameplay with all the stuff we have so far, hence why it might take a little longer.

Palestra:

The next character to receive an update will be Megaman! I already have started work on him. For his next update, I plan to clear out the remaining two CGs I have left for him. That way, the next time Megaman wins, I will only need to take care of his milking, contest moves and anything needed to end a character's relationship story!



Dreadlord Ascension:

The next update for Dreadlord Ascension is coming along nicely. If you are in the Discord server and would like to help testing the new version, it will be available this week. Otherwise, the new update will be coming out on the 23rd next weekend!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

 The next update coming out for free will be Leif's update for Dreadlord Ascension this month. I hope you're looking forward to all the content being added to game and we're still working on adding even more!

Palestra:

New update is available! From now on, since we can pin posts, I plan to keep things a little more simple for both Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension new release posts. I will make two posts for those and will keep updating the same post when a new version is released (you will still be notified when a new version is released).


Also, a new poll is now available to vote on for the next update!


Dreadlord Ascension:

As we're nearing the completion of the Dreadlord Ascension update, I can say it should be coming out on October 23rd. I don't have much else to share for this week on that end because we're just putting everything we've made for the past month into the game xP.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

 Another update already and this week it's on time haha! This month, the free update will be for Dreadlord Ascension with the new update being the chapter of Leif and Shade, hope you enjoy it!

Palestra:

Almost done with the Palestra update! This week's big chunk was making the contest moves for Reki. Now that they're all done, I can proceed to putting everything ingame for next week!



Dreadlord Ascension:

For Dreadlord Ascension, we still have a good amount of work left, but we're making huge progress. This week was filled with all kinds of different work.

In the new update, you should notice a whole slew of new updates. A new option when talking to servants to learn skills, the SP gain after combat to learn skills. A new animation when buying skill encyclopedias, a new part of the castle has been improved and furnished (the bathroom). Those some things you can expect to see on top of the ending to the Radian chapter!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Sorry about the delay! One thing I need to start with doesn't affect those who are already subbed, but I still feel I need to announce it, but I changed the way subs are handled for new subs. From now on, when someone subs, they will be charged upon subbing (as usual) but instead of being charged again on the first of the month, they will be charged on the same date they subbed. If you want, you can read more about it under "Subscription Billing".

Now then, with this out of the way, let's get to the news!

 

Palestra:

The update for Palestra is coming along nicely. The text is done, the new portraits are done, the milking animation is done! All that's left now, is to make the contest animations which I will be starting on friday this week!

 

Dreadlord Ascension:

Like Palestra, Dreadlord Ascension is progressing at a pretty good pace. I'm finishing up the affinity animation this week, but I've also done several other things like sprites, text, etc.

One thing I can show for this week, is the finished portrait for Alastor! He won't be able to be assigned as a worker just yet (this will be in the next update), but you'll still be able to meet him in the castle and should be able to deploy him in battles!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:
Reki won the poll, and as such, I started his update immediately as there's quite a bit to do xP. This will be Reki's last update, you can expect some new underwears/outfit, along with one CG (already done!), the contest moves and the milking!


Dreadlord Ascension:
A lot of work going into DA this week too. I've been so focused on work I've done all the closeups for Shade's affinity scene and even had time to start on the final scene.
 

 
On top of that, I'm not the only one who's been extra busy with the animations. Threeclaws has been working on the video's code to improve the quality of the videos and loop which is far from being an easy task in Godot. We hope you'll enjoy the new improved quality which should also have a lot less lag!

New Palestra version and weekly news

Since the new Palestra version was released on patreon, I am also releasing the new version on the blog. The new free update available is version 1.49. You can download the new update on the Palestra page.

This month's update finally adds a new update to Megaman. This new update features Megaman's daily activity, a new CG, updated portraits for Megaman, new portraits for Lan and a new random event written by Lotus (a stream viewer) and adjusted by me.

Palestra:

New update is out for Palestra and the voting for the next update started! In this new update, both Ragna and Hiro received new appearances, but I had yet to share Hiro's new looks!

Dreadlord Ascension:

We're already working on the next update for Dreadlord Ascension and tomorrow I will be starting work on Shade's affinity scenes. 

Speaking of affinity scenes, we're aware that some of the scenes are lagging and will be working towards fixing those issues in the next update. Hopefully, we can fix it in the next updates, but there is no guarantee on that as the videos can be an issue in Godot. Still, we will work on them until they work properly even if it takes more than one update!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

The Palestra update is getting closer to completion. The writing is done and so is Ragna. I am currently trying to finish off Hiro and after that I can put everything in game!

Ragna's new appearance will not affect his old one. He will only have his new appearance when he appears as a guest. You can see his new looks below!


Unlike the other character, Ragna did not change as much as his base portrait was still pretty decent. Still, I wanted him to be on par with the other characters and made changes accordingly.


Dreadlord Ascension:

A new version of Dreadlord Ascension was released to fix some bugs. You can download the latest version from the release post.

New animations have also been sent out with a new character set to appear in Shade's update being included in those :P.

As for this month, there won't be an animation poll as I will be working on Shade's affinity animation!

New Dreadlord Ascension update + weekly news

New update for DA is ready and there's a lot of new stuff in this new version. Of course, there's the new Asker chapter with his affinity and sex training scenes, but there's also more than that. I can't list every change we made because it's a lot of small details, but I'll do a list of stuff I do remember haha.

For this new version, you will need to start over, but I also included some saves with Soren's part already complete to save you guys a bit of time.

Reminder: It is possible your anti virus will detect the game as a threat, but that's normal and fairly common for games made in godot while they are still in development. The game is safe to download.

- Adjusted some sounds for Asker in combat

- Fixed the doppleganger animation looping from the beginning

- Fixed Asker's doppleganger animation sprite

- Fixed the looping sound on Zel's attack animation

- The gardens were improved (not upgradable yet)

- Fixed several typos in previous chapters

- Improved the combat controls some more (you can now directly attack by selecting your unit and sending it to attack directly)

- Split up the turn and wait command. ("turn" acts the same as the old wait, but the new wait will immediately end your unit's turn)

- Added two new Devoid types

- Added Zel's combat appearance as an outfit

- Added new voiced greetings when talking to characters

- Added new voice lines for characters in combat

- Fixed the portal to make it easier to click on it

Palestra:

For Palestra, I began working on the new update this weekend. Ragna's new design is going along smoothly. I don't expect him to change as much as the other characters since he already had a fairly solid base. However, it is too early to show his new portraits.

Since Ragna already has a few scenes in Palestra and all that. I'm going to treat his new portraits a little differently than Hiro/Tael/Aeyan. Ragna will keep his old portraits as the default ones, but will instead have new portraits added in via outfits. To justify his new looks, I also already have a nice event in mind!


Dreadlord Ascension:

New update is out! Refer to the post for more details on it. We have now reached the point where we've gone beyond the initial version of Dreadlord Ascension and we're almost done with Radian (at least for now!). 

The next update will be Chapter 5 and the last chapter for part 1 of Radian. Part 2 will happen much later down the road.

Right now, we're planning to release Chapter 5 at the end of October. After this update, we will be going over what we've done and do a big polish update. This update should be released by the end of December but could also be released at the end of January depending on how it goes.

The end of the year polish update will also give me time to prepare for Dregan, Cervius's next destination! I will be sharing more information on this when the time comes, but I'm super excited about it and already started the writing on that world's story! xP

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

Palestra:

For the next update, Red's Choice won again which means Hiro will receive an update like Tael and Aeyan did. However, I am also making an extra poll to decide what other thing I will make for this update. Now at least I know I can get started on Hiro!


Dreadlord Ascension:

The new update is coming along really nicely and should be released next week! We only need to iron out some details and do some more play testing before this update becomes available. You should be able to re-use your saves for this update, but just in case, I will also include saves to play the new update.

Since this update is nearly complete, I've also started working on the October update. We decided the next room(s) to be added will be the bathroom. I began working on the tileset for it but it's too early to show how the room will look just yet xP. 

We decided to pick the bathroom next in order to introduce some more random events to the game, just like the one between Fenris and Cervius you'll be able to watch in the update release next week!

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

 Since an update is dropping soon for DA on patreon, this means another new update will be up on the blog too. The next free update will see Radian's story continue with Asker and will introduce some new quality of life changes as well as tons of bug fixes and polish.

Palestra:

New update is out, you can vote on which update comes next via the poll!


Dreadlord Ascension:

The new Dreadlord Ascension udpate is getting closer. Based on how fast we're progressing with the new update, I could see it being available on the 28th. 

In this new update, you can expect the stuff with Leif, but also plenty of little updates to the combat system to make it more enjoyable (we still have some more updates to do on it to polish it further though).

Besides the combat, the crafting room will also be available. It won't have much of a purpose yet as we're still adding everything around it, but you'll still be able to test the little minigame it comes with.

We're also going to try adding in the first random event, this time between Cervius and Fenris. This random event also comes with its own CG :P.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly news

Palestra:

Almost all the new visuals are made for the new Palestra update and the writing is done. This means next weekend, the update should be available. In the meantime, have a look a Aeyan's updated portraits!

Dreadlord Ascension:

The new package with Leif's animation and some of his new portraits is now available! This week, I will most likely start working on the new stuff in the engine!

This update will be introducing the crafting. At first, it won't see much use as we just got it working, but after the December update, Prisminds will need to be crafted before being able to train characters.

With the crafting comes a mini game you can play for each item. The mini game is optional, but if you do it for certain items, you can reduce the amount of Magic Essence an item costs to craft (at the moment, it would be a reduction of up to 40% depending on the score in the minigame)

The goal of the minigame is basically to do the biggest streak of runes in the allotted time. (usually 40 seconds). The game can be replayed any number of times to improve your score on any craft-able items.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

First of all, sorry for not posting last week, I was really busy and completely forgot (even though I was reminded! ><)

Palestra:

For Palestra,  "Red's Choice" ended up winning the poll last week. Since I will be absent for two days of work that would have been given to Palestra, I had to get a little creative with this update, but ended up picking something which I think a lot of you will like.

The goal of this update will be to redraw Aeyan and Tael's portraits and add a chance for them to visit the harem at night. When they visit, you can interact with them and maybe get a little something out of it :P. I already began reworking the portraits and completed Tael's today. Up next will be Aeyan and the next time Red's Choice wins, I think I will be making Hiro's and Ragna's :P

Dreadlord Ascension:

While I was pretty busy with Palestra, I was equally busy with Dreadlord Ascension. This week's work was focused on Leif's scene and I'm happy to announce his scene is now complete! His individual animations will be released as part of next week's update, but in the meantime, here's a little preview :P

New Palestra update and weekly news

 Free update:

New update is here with the conclusion to Sorey's relationship quest. Since this is done, he can now work in the brothel and participate in contests! (Normally milking too, but he was already milk-able prior to this xP)

- The "Turn around" item can no longer be stored in the chests

- Kirito and Eugeo should no longer lose their weapons during their daily activity

- The maximum amount of training sessions was raised from 2 to 5 per night

Dreadlord Ascension:

More work on the Leif Scene this week and will be doing more this week too xP. I kinda went overboard on the second closeup but I hope you guys will like the animation once it come out!

Dreadlord Ascension and Palestra update

I had a lot of work to do this weekend for Pal and managed to clear it in record time! xD Now everything is ready  to move on to the editor and compile everything for the next update so it should be ready in time for next weekend!


Dreadlord Ascension:

My time was fairly limited on DA this week but I managed to make a huge amount of progress on various things. One of those is the affinity scene, I finally started on the closeups and managed to finish the first one today! Only 3 more and the final scene left xP

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

The next free update to be released this month will be a Palestra update. It will be coming out on the 17th and I will be sharing which update it is next week :P

Palestra:

Lots of progress made on the Palestra update in the last week. Alm's CG is done and so are his underwears. I plan to tackle the writing and milking as well as some contest moves in the coming week. The Palestra update should be coming out on the 17th!

Dreadlord Ascension:

For Dreadlord Ascension, we prepared a new version of the game with several bugfixes. However, I want to add in the new Fenris animations to this new version before I release it. I'm currently putting in the Fenris animations in the engine, but it won't ready until tomorrow. You can expect a new version with the bugfixes and the two new Fenris animations tomorrow.

Besides this, I also started working on the next Dreadlord Ascension update. We can already confirm the next update will introduce the crafting (more information on this later). Since the next update will introduce Leif and Shade, I will add Leif's affinity scene. (Shade will be playable, but his sex training and affinity scene will be added in the October update).

In preparation of this update, I also made some improvements to the Leif portrait (I'm nearly done with them!)

New Dreadlord Ascension version and weekly news

Dreadlord Ascension new version:

 A new version of Dreadlord Ascension that introduces Zel is now available on the Dreadlord Ascension page. 

Below is a brief list of changes introduced with the version 0.2.9.2.

 

Changelogs V0.2.9.2:

- Fixed Fenris having Soren's bust when talking to him while he's in the milking room

- Fixed the sounds in Soren's mindcontrol scene

- Fixed Zel's summoned custcene not playing which in turn prevents his affinity scene from playing properly (talk to Zel in the castle to fix his affinity step)

- Fixed Zel not having dialogues when assigned to the milking room

- Fixed Zel's outfits not appearing in the outfit selection

- Removed the practice stage from the demon map

- Added Zel's portrait to the status screen

- Renamed Zel's and Soren's affinity scene to have their proper names on the map

- Made the portal's clickable zone bigger

- Removed some proofreading notes from Soren's second sex training scene

- Fixed some busts in the story cutscenes

- Fixed the pink fade in Zel's final sex training scene

- Fixed the game crashing when selecting Zel in some stages

- Added a frame limit to the game

- Fixed the position of one of the buttons in Soren's affinity scene

- Fixed the button on Soren's head giving 100 progress in his affinity scene (it should give 20)

- Fixed Soren's last part of his affinity scene not working properly

- Fixed the mission 2-6 not appearing (play mission 2-5 again to make it appear if it's missing)

- Added Zel to the summoning room after mission 2-6

- Added new missions up to 2-7

- Added Zel's sex training and affinity scenes

- Updated Soren's affinity scenes, portraits, sprites, etc. with his new appearance

- Added a new shop upgrade after mission 2-4

- With the shop upgrade, you can now buy and equip new passive and active skills on the characters. (There currently is no tutorial/explanation for that, but our goal is to add it in the next update)

- Changed the appearance of the portal in the summoning room

- Zel and Fenris will now appear in the castle

- Added a second worker slot to the first upgrade of the milking room

- Added a new facebox for the dialogues

- Started updating the UI elements (this is still a work in progress)

- You will now see the room you upgraded when doing upgrade at the work table (still a work in progress)

- Added a map of the castle (work in progress)

- debugged the battle forecast some more

- Added voices to the characters when selecting them during battle

- Changed the videos for the affinity scenes to increase the quality

- Added fixed resolutions to the windows to reduce scaling artifacts. You can change the resolution in the options, but if you want the game to look its best, it is recommended to play in fullscreen (1080p)

- Changed the special trigger animation and added several new special animations

Palestra:

Alm will be the next update, but I haven't started on him yet due to the DA release. I do plan on doing his CG and writing in one go this week xP.


Dreadlord Ascension:

The new update is now available! While most of the work this week was focused on getting the new version out for today, I do have a bit of news to share.

To start off, we're currently working on an Android version of the game. Currently, I can make it work on my phone, but the controls needs to be better adapted and we currently have an issue where we need to work out how to transfer saves between versions. I can't guarantee this version would ever come out, but I would like to have a working Android version as the game lends itself fairly well to mobile. The development of the game will still be focused on the PC version though.

Since the two animations are due for release next week, I've also began making the new animations for Fenris xP

Palestra:

As voted in the poll, the next update will be Alm. I might aim to conclude his little story with this update but we'll see how I fare on that end haha. Still, you can look forward to his new update next month! :P


Dreadlord Ascension:

We're currently in the testing phase for Dreadlord Ascension and we're trying to add more polish to the previous chapters too (Soren and Zel) so we'll be posting the update Sunday next week ;)

The next update currently has entered the editor phase which means it's going well. The update COULD be ready for next Sunday but it's still uncertain. In any case, if the update isn't quite ready for the next Sunday, it will come out on the 26th instead so you guys will have it this month either way :P.

For this month's free update, the new content will be for Dreadlord Ascension with the update to recruit Zel. This new update will also revamp the affinity animations to make them better, add new stages, an additional milking slot, the shop with the equippable skills and so on. Quick update this as I'm swimming in "work in progress" stuff haha. I unfortunately couldn't do much this weekend due to power outages x.x

Palestra:

I have a rough sketch of what I will be doing for Yuu's animation. A little too early to show, but next week should be good!


Dreadlord Ascension:

This week, I will be starting the animation part on Asker's final scene. The writing is now done for Asker's scenes and the overall progress for Asker's stuff is going well! I should be able to share some previews next week ;)

New Palestra version and weekly update

- Made the description for the achievement "This is for you" a little more specific.

- Fixed a bug that didn't make Manami's daily activity give more relationship like what was intended in a previous update

- Fixed some achievements that could not be completed. Before you try completing them, interact with the achivement board to update them

- Fixed Rex's Master Driver achievement not triggering when you talked to him

- Fixed Keith's "Zap!" achievement

- Fixed Elsword's daily activity disappearing when he's assigned to the brothel

- Fixed the "Semen Connoisseur" achievement

- It should no longer be possible to continue Ritsuka's relationship quest until Charlemagne's side quest has been completed.

Palestra:

I'm now working a lot on Palestra and managed to finish Roxas's portraits and I also am working on all the other stuff he needs for his update. The Palestra update should be coming out next weekend!



Dreadlord Ascension:

To start things off, I want to announce that there's no Dreadlord Ascension poll for this month simply because I'm going to make Asker's affinity scenes so I can release them next month alongside the new update ;).


Besides the animations for Leif and Shade, I've also been preparing the next room to receive an upgrade in the castle, and this is going to be the Throne room. While the Throne room doesn't have as much functionality as the Shop or the Milking room, there are still two worker slot to display your favourite servants and while working on that slot, they each get a personalized animation!

New Dreadlord Ascension free update and weekly news

New Free version:

A new free version of Dreadlord Ascension is now available! This version adds many things like the milking room to show how workers can be assigned and Soren's sex training/affinity. You can download the game and see a more extensive list of changes from the Dreadlord Ascension page. (A fresh save is needed for this new version)

In this new verison, you can now continue the maps until 2-3. You can also upgrade the milking to the first version, assign Soren as a worker to the milking room through the wooden board, change Soren's outfits (no different talks for those yet), watch the 3 sex training scenes and 4 affinity scenes for Soren.

Sorry about the little delay, we were still fixing bugs yesterday for Dreadlord Ascension. x.x

Palestra:

Currently still no progress on the new version as we're still focusing on Dreadlord Ascension, but my plan is to solely focus on Palestra once I'm done with the next two animations. So once I get to it, I'll probably clear all of Palestra's update in one go haha.


Dreadlord Ascension:

New version was released! You can find V0.2.9 in the appropriate post. We added tons of stuff with this version like Zel and unit building. We'll need to add tutorials for building units with skills and all that, but currently, you can build skills from the shop at a greatly reduced price (right now, you can only trade in magic essence for money). 

The game is still missing pieces for the experience to be as we intend it to be, but you can start seeing where we're heading as we steadily get there.

The next update for the game should be in two months (June) and our goal for this next update will be to add Asker's chapter with his affinity scene, add in the semen "economy", add the tutorial for the skills (how to buy and equip them) and we'll try to add the structure we need to make random events in the castle.

Palestra:

Nothing for now! I'm currently focusing on Dreadlord Ascension so I won't be touching Palestra for a few more days xP. Though I will be releasing a new version with an important bugfix for Megaman's quest (though it doesn't affect everyone, only those who didn't start Kirito's quest when getting to a point in Megaman's quest.)


Dreadlord Ascension:

Currently going all in on the new update. I think it should be coming out in time for the next weekend.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

This month will be a Dreadlord Ascension update. The update will be coming out in two weeks when the new Dreadlord Ascension comes out on Patreon ;)

Palestra:

New update is out and the next update has been decided with the poll! The new update will be a content and features update with at least portraits and milking for Roxas as well as a new Corruption outfit. I'll try to fit in some more things if time allows :P


Dreadlord Ascension:

The new update is being worked on but I will be delaying it by one week. (update will be around April 24th) because I had to sacrifice a lot of DA time this week to finish the Ezreal update on time.

In other news, what I did manage to do this week is more work on skills, the worker portraits for Fenris as well as his sprites, new UI elements to start revamping some of the menus as I don't like how they currently looks (those won't be updated all at once though as it takes time)

Also, following yesterday's announcement for KH4, I decided to rework Soren's portraits a little to give him a bit more of a unique appearance by mixing in some of KH4 Sora's Quadratum appearance :P


The new appearance is already done as you can see above, and those changes will also be reflected in his animations. This is also an opportunity to fix a few things that bothered me with the previous version.

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly news

Palestra:

Still making progress for the update! Ezreal's animation has progressed well as the base picture is done. Next step, doing the actual animation which I will be starting today. Overall, I think I may be able to release the update on time but if there's a delay, it shouldn't be too long of a delay.


Dreadlord Ascension:

Progress on DA was pretty good this week! I touched on several things and made progress on many fronts! Skill icons, text, portraits, animations, assets, you name it I made some progress haha! However, even with all this progress, I may cut Asker back from the next update as we already have a lot on our plate. 

Even if I move Asker to the update after this one, I'm still adding Zel's affinity, sex training, the new merchant room, the merchant selling skills, new passive skills you can equip on the units, a new portal visual for the summoning room, at least two more stages and a map of the castle (not sure on that last one yet but I think it should be done in time).

Also, to add on to that, since I've finished writing the story for Radian, I've slowly been exploring possibilities for the next worlds, but before I delve more into them, I'd like you guys to vote for which world you'd like to see first. (more information about this in the poll post)

Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

I was working on DA and nearly forgot to make the update post though there's not much to show this weekend as I focused on some specific stuff xP.

Palestra:

With portraits done, I've been working on the writing and managed to clear pretty much all of it. The only thing left is the sex scene but that's for later. I'm planning on doing an animation for Ezreal, but hopefully that decision won't delay the update haha (if it does get delayed it will only be by a week so don't worry too much about it! xP)


Dreadlord Ascension:

The animation for Zel are finished, all that's left is the text (and putting in the sounds Iguess haha), you'll be able to enjoy the animation loops next weekend when I release them ahead of the update :P

This week, I've started on the Ezreal update with the portraits being first on the to-do list! Also, next week, I will release a new build for Palestra to fix some bugs from the previous update like Lan's portraits not being removed when you talk to him.

Dreadlord Ascension:

Zel's closeups are done for his affinity scenes, all that's left now are his animations for the final scene! I don't want to show the final results just yet since that's for next month, but you can still see a preview of the layout for his animations!

New Palestra updates and Dreadlord Ascension weekly update

 Palestra:

As mentioned previously, I'm making a free Palestra update this month and starting the new schedule of one game update per month by going back and forth between Palestra and Dreadlord Ascension. This means in April I'll post a Dreadlord Ascension update.

 Update v1.46:

You can download the new update from the Palestra page. This update made the following changes:

- Added Kuga's side story (must have made some progress with Shinra. When you enter Souma's restaurant, the first scene should trigger)

- Added Kuga as a brothel guest if you've completed his side quest

- Added one new outfit for Link (buyable from the brothel outfit shop)

- Added one new outfit and a variant for Corrin (Gift a Magic Imbued Fabric to Corrin)

- Added 2 new Magic Frames (buyable from the brothel frames shop)

- Changed the quest item brothel shop to sell a "Fabric Voucher" instead of the Magic Imbued Fabric. This voucher can be traded for different fabrics. (this is a workaround to remove the Munnies currency from the price.

- Fixed some typos

- Fixed some guests that couldn't appear in certain spots.



Patreon:

 A new update was released on Patreon, this new update is about Lan and Megaman. You can subscribe to Patreon/Subscribestar/Fanbox to get access to this new update!

 


Dreadlord Ascension:

Since Zel has already pulled quite ahead during the last week in the poll, I've already started on his affinity scenes (better start early on those as they take a long time to make)
